Support
YOU ARE NOT ALONE
As a parent, as a family member, or as a member or ally of the LGBTQ+ community, PFLAG Greeley is here to support you. We work to keep families in loving relationships by helping them understand and affirm their gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or non-binary family members. We provide allies with the tools to stand up to harassment and discrimination against their LGBTQ+ friends and family.

SAFE SPACE GUIDELINES
What is a safe space? A Safe Space is a place where anyone can relax and be able to fully express, without fear of being made to feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, or unsafe on account of biological sex, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or ecpression, cultural background, religious affiliation, age, or physical or mental ability. It is a place where the rules guard each person's self-respect and dignity and strongly encourage everyone to respect others.
To enable safe space, PFLAG offers these guidelines:
VEGAS RULE
#1
What happens in PFLAG, stays in PFLAG - but with a slight modification for bringing home what we have learned. Therefore, we state, "What is said here stays here, what is learned here can leave here."
SHARE THE AIR
#2
Keep comments relevant so everyone can participate and strive for a balance between listening and speaking.
LISTEN
#3
- Hear what people are saying. Don't interrupt.
- Listen deeply. Listen to understand. Listen for the emotions behind the words.
- Acknowledge what you hear. Sometimes it is helpful to repeat back what you think you heard.
RESPECT
#4
Demonstrate respect for cultural differences and diversity of views. We are all equal with different perspectives and lenses.
