Stories as Powerful Tools for Change
A group of parents seeking the removal of eleven books they claim are pornographic from our Greeley-Evans school libraries, including books with LGBTQ themes, have disrupted several Greeley-Evans school board meetings prompting the board to implement a new policy limiting public comment to 2 minutes. PFLAGers, allies, and community members who wish to show support for our school board and oppose the censorship of library books in our schools are invited to attend this meeting to learn how to craft a powerful 2-minute story from one’s personal experience and effectively deliver their message at a school board meeting.
