PFLAG Greeley Scholarship Award

An annual scholarship is offered to an LGBTQ youth by PFLAG Greeley

Purpose of Award

  • Recognize outstanding lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or queer youth

  • Encourage continuing education for self-identified LGBTQ youth

  • Foster a positive image of LGBTQ people in society

Eligibility and Terms

  • LGBTQ youth who are in their graduating year in high school are eligible to apply

  • Must attend a post-secondary educational institution (a university, college, community college, technical institution, etc.) within one year of receiving the award

  • Must be a student in a public, private, homeschool, or charter school in Greeley, Evans, or Windsor, Colorado

  • Must submit an application (in full, following all directions) with required supporting materials by the application deadline

  • Awards will be paid directly to the institution and may only be used for education expenses (i.e. tuition, course registration fees, lab fees, university housing, etc.)

  • Identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer

  • Demonstration of integrity and honesty

  • Determination and potential to achieve goals

  • Participation in school and/or community activities
